Califrenzies Choir

The Califrenzies choir was founded 25 years ago. It is based in Geneva in the commune of Collonge-Bellerive, which supports it. It currently has 34 members, all of whom sing seriously but for pleasure. It is a member of the Union des Chanteurs Genevois, the Fédération des Chœurs Genevois and the Union Suisse des Chorales.

Directed by Franz Josefovski, our three-voice choir (soprano 1, soprano 2 and alto) sings a mainly French-language repertoire.

Our choir director makes most of our vocal arrangements, and for the past two years we’ve been working with professional musician Christian Goza, who provides tailor-made musical accompaniment.

2022
Show “Tout en couleurs” in Collonge-Bellerive. Participation in a concert by several Geneva choirs in aid of Ukraine. Performance for Swiss Radio. Christmas concerts.

2019
Participation in the Genoa International Choral Festival and the Geneva Music Festival.

2018
Participation in the RTS “Chorus” competition with other choirs from French-speaking Switzerland and in the Swiss Radio “Kiosque à musiques” programme.

2017
Easter concert in Saigon – Vietnam. Participation in the Festival Choral de Provence
Show to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our choir, “Best of”.
