The Choir Minuscule
The Choir Minuscule is an ensemble created in 2018, under the impulse of a group of singer-friends wishing to extend the experience of the university choir where they had met. It is a variable-geometry ensemble, offering concerts according to the musical inspirations of its members. Sometimes with 25 members, sometimes with 6, a cappella or accompanied by a piano, the choir’s repertoire includes requiems by Brahms, Fauré and Mozart, motets by Duruflé, Bonis, Bruckner or Ola Gjeilo, but also choral arrangements ranging from gospel to jazz.
The ensemble performs mainly in churches and halls in Paris, but sometimes travels to other regions, and has even travelled as far as Rome for a concert in September 2022. The Minuscule Choir takes its name from the words of a piece by Philippe Hersant, which marked its debut – for with a minuscule choir, infinite thought.
