ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

 

Dates: June 12 to June 16 – 2024

Location: Normandy, France

Come and discover Normandy with its varied landscapes, its architectural, cultural, historical and environmental heritage, which make it one of the most visited regions in France, rich in fascinating history, from the Vikings to the June 1944 landings.

The D-Day landings of 6 June 1944 were a decisive turning point in the Second World War.

In 2024, Normandy will commemorate and celebrate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy.

The whole of Normandy will be called upon to honour the memory of these events and of the men and women who came from all over the world to liberate us.

The Festival of Normandy will be part of the programming of this anniversary.

The Festival will be organised in partnership with the association NORMANDS DE CHOEURS, and the collaboration of towns and local choirs.

NORMANDS DE CHOEURS will organize in 2024 choral singing workshops for the choir members of Normandy, which will end with the production of several large concerts in the Normandy region.

Programme

In 2024, we offer 12 concerts in 10 cities. Unless otherwise stated, allowance is free for the audience. Our wish is to make known to the greatest number the choral art and to share musical emotions with a large public. We hope to see you there!

PARTICIPANTS

Each year we are welcoming choirs from France and around the world. They are selected by our artistic direction for their quality and diversity of repertoires.

    INSURANCES

    In this particularly complicated period, and with the aim to protect you, we have specially negotiated a comprehensive insurance package, notably to cover:

     

    • Cancellation insurance
    • Baggage insurance
    • Health or injury insurance
    • Early return insurance
    • Assistance in case of death
    • Travel assistance
    • Interruption of stay
    • Accident insurance

     

    + additional specific COVID19 insurance, Health Protection Extension:

     

    • Cancellation if positive for an epidemic or pandemic up to 30 days before departure
    • Cancellation if COVID19 contact case within 14 days prior to departure
    • Cancellation for denied boarding following a temperature measurement or the positive result of a PCR and / or antigen test at the departure airport
    • Cancellation in the event of absence of vaccination
    • Repatriation assistance

     

    This insurance package is optional, but we highly recommend it.
