Lucerne
The male voices of the “Boys Choir Lucerne” are a small ensemble of the “Boys Choir Lucerne”. The 18 singers are all from the city or region of Lucerne.
(Switzerland).
Our aim is to sing different musical styles at a high level.
Whether it is the preparation of film music, classical repertoire, Swiss folk songs or musicals: fun should never be lacking, despite the painstaking work. The training of the singers starts at the age of 7. After moulting, the young singers join the male ensemble for selected projects. Each singer receives private instruction.
The group often participates successfully in competitions. Singers between the ages of 14 and 22 have received numerous national and international prizes (e.g. Montreux, Cattolica, Neerpelt 1st prize cum laude). In 2019, they were invited to perform twice in Bonn by the European Choral Association.
The audience and the professionals appreciated the creativity of the pieces, which were composed or arranged especially for this group.
This resulted in an invitation to the famous EJCF festival in Basel (CH) in 2022.
The male voices of the Boys Choir Lucerne are conducted by Andreas Wiedmer.
