The Cherkasy Philharmonic Choir was founded in 1957 as part of the Philharmonic Institution of Cherkasy, one of the largest cities in central Ukraine.
In 2013, the choir attended the SLOVAKIA CANTAT International Choral Competition where they won Grand Prix among 34 choirs from 14 countries.
The same year, the choir attended the PRAGA CANTAT International Choral Competition, where it won gold.
In 2014, the choir won silver at the International Choral Competition in Italy in two nominations for classic and folk.
In 2015, the choir was invited by the President of the Czech Choir Society, J. Kolor, as the guest of honor, and the choir member by the jury of the 58th International Choral Competition in Hihlava, Czech Republic.
In 2019 Spain : “Golden voices of Montserrat” International Choral Competition. Gold in three nominations: Classics, Folklore and Spiritual Music.
Since the fall of 2019, the main composition of the choir has been transformed into the Cherkasy Regional Philharmonic.
