VOIXlà is a students choir from Middle School of Carlo Viola in Pont Saint Martin – Aosta Valley in Italy and was founded in 2008. The students are aged 11 to 16 years .
The main purposes of the choir are collaboration, solidarity, socialisation, active citizenry through a young choral nature that is spontaneous and « on move » and engages at the same time voice and body. The chorale workshops are essentially organised around social, historical and territorial themes.
From the artisitic point of view, the VOIXlà group is hosting the local events, works closely with the associations, organises meetings, prepares contests and participations in the concerts. In total, there are more than 100 of events organised in Italy and abroad.
The repertoire of the group is very varied : italian and foreign folklore, sacred chants, pop, jazz and others…
The choirmaster is Monica Viola, and Marinella Viola plays piano and takes care of the musical adaptation of the chants.
