Les Alouettes Mixed Choir – Switzerland
International Choir Festival in Toscana, April 2025
Les Alouettes mixed choir is a friendly group, open to all, whose main aim is to make choral singing accessible to all, and to promote music through cultural exchange.
– January 1932: Creation of the men’s choir
– 1961: The society is renamed “Les Alouettes de Notre-Dame”.
– 1963: Ladies admitted, the choir becomes a mixed choir
– June 1997: Central Swiss Singing Festival in Stans, Canton Nidwalden
– June 1999: Fête cantonale des chanteurs fribourgeois in Treyvaux
– December 1999: International Advent Singing Festival in Vienna (Austria) – December 2001: Telethon concert in Combronde, Auvergne (France)
– May 2002: Grand concert “Aimer” with musical accompaniment (piano, drums, bass, trumpet, trombone). Harmonized French songs, musicals, etc.
– April 2004: International singing competition in Verona (Italy). Les Alouettes win the silver cup in the mixed category.
– November 2009: Concert-show “the 4 elements” to celebrate the inauguration of a new banner.
– October 2010: Choir festival in Nice (France)
– May 2016: Trip to Rome, mass sung at the Swiss Guards chapel
– September 2019: Change of choir name to “Les Alouettes
– October 2023: Concert-show “Voyage…Voyage…” with musicians (piano, bass, double bass, cello, cornet, oboe, guitar) and actors, a funny, tender story.

Jeanne Pittet, Conductor
Jeanne Pittet is continuing her studies at the Haute École de Musique, Granges-Paccot, for a Bachelor’s degree in Music at School, which she will complete in July 2024.
In July 2021, she completed her maturité gymnasiale in a bilingual class at Collège Ste-Croix in Fribourg with :
– Specific option, Music.
– Complementary option, Psychology-Pedagogy.
Jeanne has worked as a replacement music teacher at Cycle d’Orientation de Jolimont in Fribourg between 25.08.2021 – 22.12.2021.
Between February 2019 – July 2021, she attended the Conservatoire de Fribourg and obtained a pre-professional certificate in oboe.
