Gioventù in Cantata is a formation born in 1971 with the aim of promoting and developing the choral education of children, which over the years has gradually transformed to become a real school of “choral music” currently affiliated to the Conservatoire A Pedrollo from Vicenza and characterized by the constant search for new repertoires and new forms of artistic expression.
The result is a vast repertoire and a rich musical range exploring many styles, from classical to contemporary music, interpreted with a strong personality thanks to the association with musical practice, new elements of theatricality, gestures and movement led by Giulia Malvezzi.
Under the attentive and stimulating direction of its director Cinzia Zanon, the choir continues its path with tremendous energy in order to always improve and renew itself by giving the public authentic and intense emotions.
The group is also at the origin of important musical events (Spring Music – International Choral Meetings, Poetry in song, etc.) with the idea that the meeting between different artistic practices can create relationships of mutual enrichment.
Along with the attention to in-depth study and artistic and vocal improvement (the latter is taught individually by Professor Manuela Matteazzi), the value is constantly emphasized.
The “choral” activity must be educational: children, adolescents and young people are guided in efforts to share, in the acceptance of rules of behavior and collective relations to obtain results and common satisfactions.
It is thanks to all these reasons that in November 2017 the group won the coveted prize of the city of Marostica.
