Girls Choir of Musamari Choral School

Girls Choir of Musamari Choral School consists of girls aged 13 to 18, most of them have been singing together since pre-school. The choir has taken part in several music projects, Song Celebrations, festivals and competitions in Estonia and abroad. They have worked together with Estonian top musicians, singers and composers, as well as with Estonian Youth Symphony Orchestra. Annual concerts in Estonia Concert Hall have become a beautiful tradition. The choir´s repertoire is composed of both classical and contemporary choir music by distinguished composers from all over the world.

The choir´s current set of singers have won numerous awards:

• first prizes in the categories of children s choirs and folk music at the 66e Muziekfestival voor de Jeugd Neerpelt in Neerpelt, Belgium in 2018
• second prize in the category of children s choir at the European Grand Prix series 67^th International Choral Competition Polifonico Guido d´Arezzo in Arezzo, Italy in 2019
• second prize in the category of children´s choir at the 17th International Choir Festival Tallinn 2023 in Tallinn, Estonia in 2023
• gold medal and 1^st prize in the folklore category and silver medal in the category of children´s choir at the 41^st International Choral Festival of Preveza in Preveza, Greece in 2023; special award for the conductor Tiina Mee with the best pedagogical approach for young voices

The choir conductor is Tiina Mee.

Tiina Mee (Conductor)

Tiina Mee graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music as music teacher and choral conductor. She founded Musamari Music School for Children in 1995 and Musamari Singing Studio in 1997. The latter evolved into Musamari Choral School by 2006. Tiina Mee Works as director of Musamari Choral School and conducts girl´s and children´s choirs.

With her choirs, Tiina Mee has participated in diferent music projects, Song Celebrations, festivals and competitions in Estonia and abroad. She has worked with several professional musicians, singers and composers in Estonia, including nine projects with the Estonian Youth Symphony Orchestra.
