The Vernier Choir was the choral section of the Echo de Vernier, founded in 1920 with the Théâtre de Vernier. Since 2018, the Choir has been flying on its own wings.
Over the years, the choir has performed a variety of repertoires, from folklore to sacred music. Its mission is to offer quality concerts, to propose to the public little known works and to call upon young musicians in a repertoire composed of classical works. However, it does not refrain from forays into other musical fields.
Several times a year, the Choir performs in concert, either alone or with soloists, accompanied by musical groups, in the commune of Vernier and other cities in Switzerland and abroad where it performed in July 2015, 2016 and 2017 at the Garda Festival, the Prague Choral Festival and the Montecatini Choral Festival.
In 2023, the Vernier Choir will celebrate its 100th anniversary and present a programme of secular works.
