VOCAL BLUE TRAINS

Vocal Blue Trains are a vocal group composed of 36 vocalists and musicians founded and directed by Alessandro Gerini, Italian-Polish vocalist, vocal coach and arranger. Their unique, multifaceted sound combines a choral imprint of gospel and traditional polyphony with modern beats of electronic and ambient house music.

In four years, the group has gained national and international fame thanks to important collaborations with Italian and international artists like Italian pop star Ultimo, Paul Phoenix, former member of Grammy-Award winning a cappella group King’s Singers, Italian actor and presenter Gigi Proietti, American soul singer Sergio Sylvestre, and Italian rock group, Modà.

Vocal Blue Trains have performed in over 100 concerts throughout Italy, Europe and Asia including prestigious festivals like the Lucca International Choir Festival, Wien International Festival for Choirs and Orchestras, the Prague Advent Choral Meeting, the Jeju International Choir & Symposium 2018 (South Korea), the Pantheon Gala Concert in Rome,  Pistoia Blues Festival, and Chorus Inside’s Moscow Sounds Festival 2019 where they received the prestigious prize for “Best Overall Performance,” the first time a foreign choir has ever received this award.

The vocal group has released four official music videos in the last three years including original arrangements of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and a gospel-electronic arrangement of the Black Keys’ hit “Lonely Boy.”

Vocal Blue Trains have an ongoing collaboration with world-renowned vocal coach Paul Phoenix as Artist in Residence. The partnership foresees recording sessions and workshops. In 2019, the choir also recorded with Italian singer-songwriter, Ultimo, for his hit single, “Tutto questo sei tu,” and a soon-to-be released second single.

The vocal group is setting up for a successful 2020 with the upcoming release of a new official music video, single, and first, full-length album in the first quarter of the year. Vocal Blue Trains are currently establishing a slew of exciting professional collaborations as well as confirming various performances at festivals and live concerts throughout the year.
