Nancy
Created in 2004, the Chœur de Jeunes de Lorraine is based in Nancy (54) under the aegis of the association Les Madrigales.
Composed of teenagers and young adults, it performs regularly in the region but is also happy to travel abroad whenever it has the opportunity.
No genre or style of music is excluded from its repertoire, although music of the 20th and 21st centuries is largely represented.
The Lorraine Youth Choir is a member of Nancy Voix du Monde (international choral festival).
In order to allow the singers to approach great works, the choirmaster regularly organises choral gatherings. This has enabled our young singers to perform, among others, Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria, Camille Saint Saëns’ Christmas Oratorio, and in the 2022/2023 season Karl Jenkins’ Requiem.
Elisabeth Renaudin, Conductor
Elisabeth Renaudin (conductor) has been leading the choir since its creation. She holds a Capes degree in Music Education and Choral Singing, and is also a graduate in piano, music education and chamber music from the CNR in Nancy.
Philippe Klein, pianist
Philippe Klein (pianist), unanimously awarded the gold medal in piano, musical training and chamber music from the CNR in Nancy, DE in piano and jazz, DES from the Ecole Normale in Paris, DEM in improvised music and jazz from Strasbourg.
